Recently, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) a subsidiary of Pilbara Marine in the Damen shipyards ordered 6 tugs, plans to deploy in Port Hedland australia.
Damen shipyards received 6 ship 36 meters long ART 85-32W tug order
It is reported that the 6 36 meter long ART 85-32W tug designed by Robert Allen, the series will tug in Vietnam in the Song Cam shipyard Damen shipyards. 2 of them will be delivered in October 2018, the surplus will be delivered in early 2019 tugs.
Pilbara Marine won the tug business license in Port Hedland last May. FMG's annual iron ore exports from the port in 1.65 to 1.7 tons.
